Hello !
You just found the equine club that regroups all the best equine artists in deviantART. Our goal is to provide visitors with a list of artists to not miss when looking for horses on the website. We are also looking to promote something invisible but extremely powerful, and in most cases strongly bound together : the equine community of dA.
... and in a longer term, we want to have a horse in the smileys.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ THIS WHOLE JOURNAL BEFORE SENDING ANY NOTES AT ALL TO THE CLUB OR TO THE STAFF
:: ON JOINING ::
To join, you can send me a note (avoid the [no subject]) ; I will look through your art and tell you if youre accepted or not you will get a reply anyway, sometimes with advice on your art. If the answer doesn't clearly say "you are taken/accepted", it means you're not (people get confused). Don't send a link to your best piece or to your gallery - we know where it is ! Also feel free to point out other people (see Rules) - that's a way as well to get moderators to look at your own art. Don't be discouraged if you are refused : we are very strict on selection. It doesn't mean you're a bad artist : it means you can do even better ! If you are not accepted, please do NOT re-apply over and over until the moderators block you, because there's nothing more annoying than that. You can however try again if you feel that you've improved.
If your note is not answered,
do not send it again. Every note is examined and replied to (if needed), so if yours isn't, it means no moderator has been logging in for a while. Be patient and WAIT. We do not delete notes.
:: (annoying) RULES ::

We do appreciate people suggesting artists, but remember that if you write a note to the club, you will most likely be poking on the admin's shoulder. And I really don't always have time to handpick what you send me ! You should first be writing to one of our Art Searchers.

This is IMPORTANT : we will not tolerate any picture favoriting in the EEA gallery. If you do, you
willget a note asking to do it at the original artist's gallery.
::
EEA standards of quality ::

You must have a majority of equines in your gallery (that means over 50%) - and make sure your best works are standing out (not burried under WIPs and misc. photos).

We are looking for interesting artwork from you, in terms of composition, creativity, anatomy (important, unless purposefully done wrong), interesting colours (complementary etc.), movement... think ART. The style does not matter. There are mostly realistic members in the EEA gallery but that's because it's easier to reproduce what you see rather than invent it. It does not mean you won't be taken because you don't have any realistic-looking peace.

Your art may be any equine (horses, zebras, unicorns, donkeys, pegasus etc.) and done in any medium, including computer ones - only photography is not accepted... do look at ~
Equine-Photography if you are more of a photographer.

If you understand all that, you can send a
NOTE to this account to apply for the club.
:: SUBMITTING ART ::
Just a word on how submitting stuff works here. Before anything happens, you need to be proud of your art piece. If you feel like you could have done better, or are not so happy with it, either rework on it or do not submit it. Only the best of yourselves will be accepted - don't cheat, we have a sample of what you can do : your gallery ! We do not accept unfinished work either.
To submit an artwork : first put it into your own gallery on deviantART. Then note the EEA with the link to your piece (and eventually keywords). We will then submit it to the club's gallery with a link to your page and to your original deviation. Visitors will not be allowed to fave it in the club and encouraged to comment on your page. We do reserve ourselves the right to do a selection among the pictures you send us !
And remember : only
three pics per note and day !

:: AFFILIATES ::
To become affiliate with us, your club must note EEA with the reason why they would want to (avoid the "it'll make us look good"). Now same thing, your club must be active and alive. We would mostly affiliate with equine clubs, but there might be a few exceptions.
